My Door Sticks When I Try To Close It?
Over time the unit's door may drop at one corner, which can cause it to contact the lock plate beneath the door. The doors have a top and bottom hinge, both are capable of slight adjustments to re-align the door, or simply apply mild force on the door locking plate downwards to allow the door to close.
Inner Rear Wall Is Icing Up?
1. Check to see if the evaporator fan has failed, this is located on the inner rear wall.Â
2. High ambient humidity can cause excess ice to build on near the cold plate. (inner rear wall)
3. Small gas leak, this may show up as a lot of ice at one corner of the cold plate inside the fridge.
4. Check to ensure that the manual thermostat is not set too high or it can cause ice to build up on the cold plate. - We recommend setting this between 3-4.Â
If you do have ice built up inside the fridge, turn it off and allow it to defrost overnight and check to make sure all the ice has melted prior to turning it back on - it may be worth putting some towels down to catch and excess water.
My Fridge Is Noisier Than Usual?
1. Inner Fan? - Inner fans can develop noise faults in several ways.
A)Â The Fan bearing has failed, this will make a very loud noise and will require replacing the fan.
B)Â The unit has ice buildup on the evaporator, the inner fan blades can contact this ice, which will eventually damage/stop the fan and cause it to fail.
C)Â Componentry may have come loose near the fan, i.e. loose mounting screws or an unsecured wire has made its way into the path of the fan blade.
2. Compressor?
A)Â The compressor is the main working motor of the unit and will cycle on and off around 6-8 times an hour. If it is uneven, it could make a noise during running or during startup/shutdown. Check the compressor mounting bolts are tight and the fridge is level.
3. Rattle/Vibration?
A) Fridge piping has liquid and gas circulating through it constantly, if the piping is close to another part of the fridge, it may cause a vibration noise if it comes into contact with this part.
Unit Has Stopped Cooling Or Is Not Cooling Enough?
1. Ensure the fridge has the correct ventilation, as per below.
Each Side: 20mmÂ
Top: 20mm
Rear: 100mm
2. Ensure the fridge can receive adequate fresh air to the rear of the unit, additionally, make sure hot air generated by the fridge can escape from behind the unit.Â
3. Make sure the fridge is not in a position where it can get any direct sunlight or hit by the elements such as rain. No glass door bar fridge can have direct sunlight and having so will void the warranty.Â
4. Check to ensure the evaporator fan is operating correctly - this is the fan on the inner rear wall, inside the fridge.
5. Check to make sure the compressor turns on correctly - you should be able to hear it humming away at the rear of the unit.
